Magneta Joins Heroes vs. Hordes: Master the Power of Polarity

Some heroes wield steel.

Others command magic.

Magneta bends the battlefield itself with the unstoppable force of magnetism.

Arriving exclusively in the Champions of Fate event, Magneta introduces a fresh Mechanist playstyle built around persistent area damage, screen-wide control, and powerful magnetic technology. Whether you’re locking down swarms or carving safe paths through overwhelming waves, Magneta rewards smart positioning and relentless pressure.

If you enjoy heroes that dominate space while constantly dealing damage, this magnetic mastermind is ready to pull you into the fight.

Harness the Power of Magnetism

Magneta’s signature attack, Magnet Throw, is unlike traditional projectiles.

Instead of simply striking enemies, each thrown magnet creates a damaging magnetic field as it travels. Enemies caught inside the field take continuous damage, making every throw dangerous even before it reaches its maximum distance.

Because multiple magnets can overlap, you’ll constantly be covering the battlefield with damaging zones that punish tightly packed hordes.

Rather than relying on burst attacks, Magneta excels at sustained pressure and controlling where enemies can safely move.

Fill the Screen with Magnetic Chaos

At Level 20, Magneta unlocks Magnet Swarm.

Every few seconds, dozens of mini magnets burst outward in every direction, shredding enemies surrounding you.

This ability shines when you’re surrounded, helping clear space while adding another layer of constant damage.

Combined with the main weapon, you’ll be creating overlapping fields of destruction across nearly every direction.

The result is a hero that always feels active, with magnets flying across the battlefield from every angle.

Pierce the Horde with Polarity Lance

Magneta’s Level 40 ability, Polarity Lance, adds incredible single-line clearing power.

At regular intervals, Magneta locks onto the nearest enemy and fires an all-piercing magnetic beam that cuts straight through everything in its path.

This ability is especially effective against:

  • Long enemy lines
  • Elite monsters hiding behind swarms
  • Dense waves that would normally block projectiles
  • Boss encounters where sustained damage matters

Together with Magnet Throw and Magnet Swarm, Polarity Lance gives Magneta an answer for both crowd control and priority targets.

Ultimate Ability: Mass Driver

Once your ultimate meter is full, it’s time to unleash Mass Driver.

Magneta releases two enormous magnetic waves that surge across the battlefield in opposite directions, sweeping from one edge of the screen to the other.

Anything caught in their path takes massive damage, with a chance to ignite and continue burning long after the waves have passed.

It’s a spectacular screen-clearing ability that’s perfect for:

  • Escaping overwhelming swarms
  • Recovering from difficult moments
  • Softening bosses before finishing them off
  • Completely resetting the battlefield

When the horde closes in, Mass Driver pushes back with overwhelming force.

Evolution: Lingering Magnets

Magneta’s evolution transforms every attack into a lasting threat.

With Lingering Magnets, your thrown magnets no longer disappear when they reach the end of their path. Instead, they remain on the battlefield, continuing to pulse damage for several seconds.

This dramatically changes how Magneta plays.

Instead of simply attacking the horde, you’re gradually filling the map with persistent magnetic hazards that punish enemies wherever they go.

The longer a battle lasts, the more dangerous the battlefield becomes.

Tips for Playing Magneta

Want to unlock Magneta’s full potential? Keep these strategies in mind:

1. Invest in Area

Larger magnetic fields mean more enemies caught inside every damaging zone.

2. Let Your Fields Overlap

Multiple magnets create overlapping areas of damage, allowing enemies to take continuous punishment as they move.

3. Position for Maximum Coverage

Because your magnets travel outward, good positioning helps spread damage across the entire battlefield instead of one direction.

4. Save Mass Driver for Peak Pressure

When the screen fills with enemies or an elite wave arrives, Mass Driver can instantly shift the fight back in your favor.

A New Force for the Mechanist League

Magneta brings a unique mix of battlefield control and sustained damage to the Mechanist League.

Rather than relying on explosive bursts alone, Magneta gradually transforms the battlefield into a web of magnetic danger, rewarding players who think ahead and control enemy movement.

If you enjoy creating powerful area denial, layering abilities together, and watching enemies melt inside overlapping damage zones, Magneta is a hero you’ll want to add to your collection.
