Every pirate crew needs a captain.
But sometimes, the real danger is the sailor holding the mop.
Swabbie joins Heroes vs. Hordes as a scrappy melee-area hero who turns cleaning duty into battlefield control. With mop sweeps, water puddles, spinning attacks, and a massive tidal ultimate, Swabbie is built for players who like controlling space and punishing enemies that get too close.
The horde brought claws, fangs, and cursed magic.
Swabbie brought a mop.
That was enough.
Mop Sweep
Swabbie’s main attack is Mop Sweep.
He swings his mop in a 180° arc in front of him, hitting all enemies in range. It’s a straightforward melee-area attack with strong crowd-clearing potential.
The fantasy is simple:
Step into the swarm.
Swing the mop.
Clear the deck.
Swabbie thrives when enemies group up in front of him, making positioning and area upgrades especially valuable.
Bucket Toss
At Level 20, Swabbie unlocks Bucket Toss.
Every few seconds, he throws a bucket of water toward a dense enemy cluster. The bucket shatters on impact and creates a large puddle that damages and slows enemies standing inside.
This gives Swabbie a strong “soak and scrub” loop:
Create puddles.
Slow enemies.
Control movement.
Sweep them away.
Bucket Toss helps Swabbie manage dangerous waves before they fully surround him.
Soap the Deck
At Level 40, Swabbie unlocks Soap the Deck.
Swabbie plants his mop and spins rapidly, dealing damage in a 360° radius. During the ability, smaller puddles can also appear around the battlefield, adding more control and more setup for future attacks.
This is where Swabbie’s kit really starts to flow.
Enemies rush in.
The mop starts spinning.
The deck becomes a danger zone.
Ultimate: Final Mop
Swabbie’s ultimate, Final Mop, is the biggest cleanup of all.
He slams the mop into the ground and releases a massive tidal wave in every direction. The wave pushes enemies back, drenches them, and triggers all active puddles on the battlefield.
Each consumed puddle detonates in a tidal burst, dealing AoE damage at its location.
More puddles means more explosions.
More setup means more payoff.
Final Mop rewards smart battlefield control with one huge wave of destruction.
Evolution: Saltwater Corrosion
Swabbie’s Evolution, Saltwater Corrosion, adds even more pressure to his mop attacks.
After several mop swings, Swabbie releases a radial burst of concentrated saltwater. Enemies hit become Corroded, taking increased damage from all sources for a short time. Corroded enemies that fall leave behind puddles, creating even more fuel for Swabbie’s kit.
It is the perfect Evolution for players who want their battlefield control to snowball.
Tips for Playing Swabbie
Stay near the action. Mop Sweep and Soap the Deck reward close-range positioning.
Use puddles as setup. Bucket Toss and Saltwater Corrosion help create zones that slow, damage, and prepare enemies for bigger combos.
Trigger Final Mop when puddles are active. More puddles mean a stronger ultimate payoff.
Stack area upgrades. Bigger sweeps and wider effects make Swabbie much better at controlling the horde.
The Deck Is Clean. The Horde Is Gone.
Swabbie may look scrappy, but his kit is packed with control, AoE damage, and satisfying combo potential.
He soaks the battlefield.
He slows the swarm.
