Negan is a close-range powerhouse built around deliberate strikes and overwhelming force.

Signature Mechanic: Branded
Negan can Brand a nearby enemy when he enters his Standing Still Boost. Branded targets take increased damage from blunt main weapons, allowing him and other compatible Survivors in the squad to bring them down faster.
As Negan reaches his highest Star Rank, he can Brand an additional enemy each time the effect activates. His Standing Still Boost also becomes available sooner, giving him more opportunities to mark targets and take control.
Tip: Enter your Standing Still Boost near priority enemies, then focus Lucille’s attacks on Branded targets.
Core Abilities
Brutal Strikes
Increases Lucille’s attack speed and damage, making Negan’s main combo faster and more punishing.
Overhead Smash
Adds a powerful overhead strike to the end of Lucille’s combo. The attack deals heavy area damage, helping Negan punish grouped enemies.
Awesome Smash
Upgrades Overhead Smash with an impact that travels across the ground and deals Shrapnel damage to enemies in its path.
This Is Lucille
Increases Lucille’s damage and range while extending its stun, giving Negan greater reach and control with every swing.
Furious Attack
Negan gains Rage after entering his Standing Still Boost, temporarily increasing his offensive pressure.
Passive Traits & Progression
Early Strength
- Increased grenade explosion radius
- Lucille applies Bleed to enemies
- Entering Standing Still Boost Brands a nearby target
Mid-Game Power
Negan unlocks Savior’s Supremacy after reaching the required number of kills. While active, he gains increased attack speed, damage, and reload speed. Every nearby enemy is also Branded when the Ultimate begins.
His Shrapnel damage also increases, strengthening Awesome Smash and other Shrapnel-based attacks used by the squad.
Late-Game Dominance
- Lucille’s Bleed effect becomes stronger and lasts longer
- Overhead Smash and Awesome Smash appear more often during runs
- Entering Standing Still Boost Brands an additional enemy
- Standing Still Boost activates sooner
- Negan gains further damage and health increases through Star Rank progression
Combat Tips
- Commit to Lucille upgrades early to strengthen Negan’s main source of damage
- Use Standing Still Boost near dangerous enemies to apply Branded where it matters most
- Prioritize Overhead Smash before selecting Awesome Smash
- Build into Shrapnel damage to strengthen Awesome Smash and support the wider squad
- Group enemies before completing Lucille’s combo to maximize Overhead Smash damage
